City of Lighthouse Point Detailed Information

Lighthouse Point

The City of Lighthouse Point is often referred to as The Hidden Venice of South Florida.  While it's a relatively small city, with a population of 10,600, it boasts 18 miles of waterways!  It's a city that is a melding of the old and the new where creative builders are taking advantage of every foot of land along the waterways.

Lighthouse Point (located in the northern part of Broward County) sits under the beam of the famed Hillsboro Lighthouse for which it was named. Deerfield Beach is to the north, Pompano Beach to the south, Federal Highway to the west and the Intracoastal Waterway to the east.

The City of Lighthouse Point continues to grow and flourish with ongoing enhancements to its bridges, landscaping, waterway vistas and parks.   Families, especially, are attracted to this City with its quiet, winding, tree-shaded streets and 13 miles of bike paths and 20 parks. There is something for everyone.  For yachting enthusiasts there is the outstanding Lighthouse Point Yacht Club. The police department and fire rescue departments are operated by the City and provide excellent protection for its residents.
